Position Summary:

The Grounds Team Member is responsible for the maintenance, care, and preparation of the sports fields, indoor/outdoor facilities, and surrounding grounds. The role ensures that the fields and complex are safe, aesthetically pleasing, and ready for use by athletes and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain playing fields for scheduled events.
Perform minor repairs and report larger maintenance issues to the manager.
Remove debris, trash, and litter from fields and surrounding areas.
Inspect fields and facilities for hazards or damage and address issues promptly.
Follow safety protocols when using tools and equipment.
Set up and break down equipment for games, tournaments, and special events.
Assist with crowd control or parking lot management, as needed.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred or pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or sports field management is preferred.
Ability to operate groundskeeping tools and equipment safely.
Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Availability to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the event schedule.

Additional Requirements

Successful completion of a background check is required.
Must be eligible to work in environments where minors are present.

Position Summary:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all facilities at the Sandhills Global Youth Complex, including restrooms, concessions areas, office spaces, and other indoor/outdoor public areas. This role plays a key part in delivering a positive experience for athletes, visitors, staff, and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly throughout the day.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or power wash walkways, entryways, and building interiors.
Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from all designated areas.
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and sanitizers.
Monitor cleanliness of spectator areas; perform spot cleaning as needed.
Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving chairs, tables, and equipment.
Identify and report maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures, safety hazards).
Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and pressure washers.
Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE when handling chemicals or equipment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior custodial or facility maintenance experience is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Ability to interact courteously with guests, staff, and youth athletes.
